Montreal, September 11 – AMI-télé is proud to announce the broadcast of the second season of the documentary series Victorieux à deux, hosted by Jean-Marie Lapointe. This series explores the world of disabled athletes and their dedicated carers. After the warm reception of its first season, AMI-télé proudly takes up the torch, to present the continuation of this luminous series.

The eight episodes in the second season of Victorieux à deux highlight journeys marked by perseverance and resilience. Each episode features a disabled athlete supported by his or her entourage, often made up of volunteers. The latter play an important role in overcoming the athletes’ sporting and personal challenges; individuals with a heart on their sleeve who seek neither medals nor applause, and who make a major contribution to the protagonists’ achievement.

Jean-Marie Lapointe’s encounters with May Lim, who, with the help of Julien Pinsonneault, continues to run marathons despite an orphan’s disease, or Éric Lavoie, quadriplegic since a diving accident, who trains and plays rugby with the support of his children. The athletes’ backgrounds speak for themselves, and their relationship with these partners touches and impresses more than anything else.

Produced by Productions J and directed by Pierre-Antoine Fournier, this season of Victorieux à deux airs Mondays at 8pm, starting September 23.
