FILLED – We’re looking for an accounting technician!

We are looking foran accounting technician who is able to work efficiently, rigorously and with integrity.

We’re looking for a highly organized, versatile individual who can assist the Finance Director in his day-to-day duties and support the entire accounting team. The ideal candidate must have excellent adaptability skills.

Main activities :

• Involvement in the entire accounting cycle;
• Support the management of accounts payable and receivable at the corporate level;
• Support the management of accounts payable for the various projects;
• Perform accounting data entry (expense reports, petty cash, credit cards);
• Analyze accounting data and perform bank reconciliations;
• Managing the movement of cash registers ;
• Prepare GST/QST and DAS returns;
• Prepare and make bank deposits;
• Participate in the preparation of year-end documents;
• Participate in the improvement of processes related to its tasks.

Skills required:

• Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in accounting (or equivalent);
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant accounting experience;
• Be resourceful, meticulous and proactive;
• Excellent time management skills;
• Strong organizational skills and good attention to detail;
• Ability to multi-task and be comfortable dealing with a diverse group of people;
• Sense of autonomy and initiative;
• Demonstrate discretion and ensure the protection of confidential information and files.

Working conditions :

• Full-time contract position, i.e. 40h/week with possibility of permanent employment and career development.
