David (Maxime Denommée), aka the Padre, is found begging in the streets of Montreal. Relocated to a church in Manitoba, he receives confessions from penitents, focusing more on their humanity than on the punishment they should receive. Should we forgive everything? Can a thief be robbed? Can a pedophile redeem himself? And should violence be a just punishment? But there seems to be no forgiveness for those who fail to face reality. Dealing with spirituality, not religion, Padre is first and foremost a mysterious human drama that relies on redemption while pursuing the path of empathy.
