Qui sait chanter ?
Qui sait chanter? is the Quebec adaptation of FOX’s hit I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE. Comedian Phil Roy accompanies a contestant through the various stages of the musical game, which has all the makings of a variety show. The goal? To discover the real voices behind the six mystery singers who will appear on stage. Qui sait chanter? is the only show where finding people with or without talent can pay off in spades!
Each week, a contestant discovers the real voices behind six mystery singers. In addition to their intuition, they can rely on a panel of four personalities from the artistic world. The singers are people from all walks of life: a footballer, a golfer, a lawyer, a ballerina, a chef, a fireman, a policewoman, and so on. In the first five stages of the show, contestants must find the wrong singers, earning $3,000 each time they succeed. In the final stage, the ultimate choice, the contestant can either keep the accumulated sum, or reset their total to zero and attempt to win $25,000. To win the grand prize, the last secret singer must be a good one.
Who can sing? is based on the South Korean CJ ENM format. Distributed by Incendo in Canada and produced by FOX Alternative Entertainment, the competition is hosted by comedian Ken Jeong in the U.S. I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE has been adapted in 16 markets worldwide, including Finland and China. Since its U.S. debut, the show has topped the charts – a first in nearly three years for a fall non-fiction series.
