To celebrate International Women’s Rights Day, Julie Snyder welcomes international star Angèle, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, Geneviève Guilbault, Silvi Tourigny and Annie Villeneuve tonight on La semaine des 4 Julie, starting at 9pm on Noovo! Her first major TV interview in Quebec, ANGÈLE
Born in Brussels in 1995, she first came to prominence by posting covers of songs on her social networks, and it was at the age of 21, 4 years ago, that her career exploded with her first own composition, La loi de Murphy! She was named revelation of the year at the Victoires de la musique awards in 2018. Her song Balance ton quoi became an anthem for the liberation of women’s speech and made her a leader in the #metoo movement. Since then, she has continued to score hit after hit, and continues to top the charts with singles from her second album.
Julie Snyder had the chance to speak with this young woman who inspires a whole generation, and presents us with the fruit of their encounter tonight on La semaine des 4 Julie. Sophie Grégoire Trudeau
An ardent defender of gender equality and mother of three, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau joins us on this important day. We knew her as a host and columnist, before teaming up with her husband to help him become Prime Minister of Canada. She is now recognized across the country as a committed activist, volunteer and speaker. Geneviève Guilbault
She’s the MNA for Louis-Hébert, Minister of Public Security, Minister responsible for the Capitale-nationale and Deputy Premier of Quebec – in short, she’s without doubt the most powerful woman in Quebec. Geneviève Guilbault is here to visit us! We’re lucky enough to end this special evening with a column by our beloved contributor Silvi Tourigny, aka Carole aide son prochain, and the incredible Annie Villeneuve, who performs the world anthem of women’s liberation: R-E-S-P-E-C-T! We also wanted to celebrate International Women’s Rights Day with fond memories of some of our most inspiring guests.
We wouldn’t be where we are without all the women of Quebec. To all of you, we salute you! Xxx
