We are looking for an accounting technician

Founded in 1997 by Julie Snyder, Productions J has over 20 years’ experience in high-quality television production: variety shows, talk shows, documentaries, reality shows, youth programs and service programs.

We are looking for an accounting technician who is able to work efficiently, rigorously and with integrity.

We’re looking for a highly organized, versatile individual who can assist the Controller in his day-to-day duties and support the whole accounting team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent adaptability skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Involvement in the entire accounting cycle;
  • Support the management of accounts payable and receivable at the corporate level;
  • Support the management of accounts payable for the various projects;
  • Responsible for accounts payable and receivable;
  • Cashflow monitoring;
  • Mail reception/sorting;
  • Petty cash management;
  • Prepare and make bank deposits;
  • Accounting for bank deposits;
  • Issue cheques to suppliers;
  • Bank reconciliations;
  • Tax returns;
  • Remittance of deductions at source;
  • Reconciliation of credit card statements;
  • Supports the payroll manager during the T4 period;
  • Perform accounting data entry (expense reports, petty cash, credit cards);
  • Analyze accounting data and perform bank reconciliations;
  • Manage the movement of cash registers;
  • Prepare GST/QST and DAS returns;
  • Prepare and make bank deposits;
  • Participate in the preparation of year-end documents;
  • Participate in the improvement of processes related to its tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in accounting (or equivalent);
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office environment (Word and Excel);
  • Knowledge of TRT software is an asset;
  • Initiative and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Be resourceful, meticulous and proactive;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and be comfortable dealing with a diverse group of people;
  • Sense of autonomy and initiative;
  • Demonstrate discretion and ensure the protection of confidential information and files.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Remuneration: To be negotiated according to experience and skills.

Start: Immediate

Workplace: Montreal
